Understanding Wandering and How to Help

Wandering is a common symptom of dementia, often triggered by confusion, restlessness or boredom. Understanding what urges a person to wander helps their family and caregivers devise effective interventions to deter the behavior and keep their loved one safely in their sights at home and in public.
